LDF HAVING UPPERHAND AFTER FIRST ROUND CAMPAIGN

After the first round of campaigning the ruling Left Democratic Front is having a major edge over the opposition Congress led United Democratic Front. Last Loksabha election the LDF swept 18 out of the 20 seats. That time congress didnt even get a single seat from Kerala. This time around the situation has changed a lot. The LDF is in power and will be facing the anti-incumbency factor. Other than the the internal problems in LDF and the factional war inside the biggest party in the LDF, that of CPIM will also be a cause of worry. But the poll managers of LDF are quite confident that at the end of day everything will be alright and they will be able to survive every factors. One of the constituents of the LDF, Janata dal Secular has already left the camp is trying to make passage to the UDF camp. But the actual statistics shows that JD secular can do nothing to the prospects of LDF. Actually all of the JDs MLA's and other representatives would not have made it to their position if CPI M votes were not there. That's the reason why many of the JD's leaders and distanced themselves from the decision taken by the media baron and JD's president M P Veerendra Kumar. After a shaky start , slowly but steadly the LDF is making good gains through out Kerala. Once the second round High voltage campiangn including the visits of National Leaders its quite sure that LDF will make gains with all the factors against them. After the first round LDF camp is sure to win 12 out of the 20 constituencies. They include Thiruvananthapuram, Attingal, Kollam, Kottayam, Idukki, Eranakulam, Alathur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Kannur, Kasargod. And the leaders are of the opinion they will be able to win 3-4 more. Any way the UDF camp is upset over the present situation. They were not able to capitalize on the anti - incumbency. The shattering of UPA has made a big blow to the UDF camps. Another reason is the candidature. Pro-American Pro Israeli candidates like Mr. Sashi Tarur and Mr. K V Thomas has added worries to the whole UDF camp. Any way after the second round a clear picture will emerege. But as of now, after the slow and shaky start The Left Democratic Front against all odds and Media tranishing will make huge gains.
