Red salute to the Martyrs



CPIM 20th Party Congress paid rich tributes to the Martyrs who laid down their life for the cause of communist ideology. CPIM PB Member Com. S Ramachandran pillai placed the Martyrs resolution. Earlier delegates paid floral tribute at the Martyrs column. Since the last party congress held at Coimbatore 176 party memberss and 374 party sympathisers were martyred in West Bengal by Trinamool-Maoist goons. 22 comrades belonging to other left parties were also martyred in West Bengal. 27 comrades inculding 17 comrades who were hacked to death by RSS goons were martyred in Kerala.  In Bihar 10 party comrades were martyred by class enemies and landlords while leading agricultural struggle. 6 comrades in Tripura, 5 Comrades in Andhra, 2 Comrades in Tamilnadu, 2 comrades each from Odisha and Chatisgarh, 1 comrades from Maharashtra were martyred by class enemies.
 
Communist Party of India (Marxist) salutes the memory of the martyrs from all over the country who have laid down their life in defence of the cause of the Party and the working class movement. These brave martyrs laid down their lives holding high the red banner of the Party and its cause. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) dips its red banner in salute to these martyrs. CPIM is confident that the ultimate sacrifice of these comrades will not go in vain.
