6th All India Conference of BSNL Employees Union started at Ludhiana

The 6^th All India Conference of BSNL Employees Union took off successfully at Ludhiana, today the 25.09.2012. At 10.30 hrs the flag hoisting ceremony took place. The National Flag was hoisted by Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri, President and the Union Flag was hoisted by Com. P. Abhimanyu, General Secretary. All the leaders, delegates and observers paid floral tributes at the Martyrs column. The inaugural ceremony started at 11.00 hrs. More than 4000 delegates and observers participated in the ceremony. The sprawling conference hall which is having a capacity of 2500, was overflowing and the remaining comrades were seated in the adjoining shamiana. Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri, President, BSNLEU presided over the inaugural ceremony. Com. H.S. Sidhu, Chairman, Reception Committee welcomed everybody. Com. A.K. Padmanabhan, National President, CITU, inaugurated the conference with his educative speech. Thereafter, Com. M. Krishnan, Secretary General, NFPE, Com. P. Abhimanyu, General Secretary, BSNLEU, Com. P. Asokababu, Dy. General Secretary, BSNLEU addressed. Com. Balbir Singh, General Secretary, Reception Committee, proposed vote of thanks.

A grand procession of the 6^th All India Conference of BSNL Employees Union took place on the afternoon of today the 25.09.2012. The procession started at 15.30 hrs. Com. V.A.N. Namboodiri, President, Com. P. Abhimanyu, General Secretary, Com. P. Asokababu, Dy. General Secretary, Com. R.L. Moudgil, Assistant General Secretary and Chairman Reception Committee and Com. Balbir Singh, General Secretary, Reception Committee led the procession. Delegates from various Circles participated in the procession with their banners. After this the open session started. It was presided over by Com.V.A.N. Namboodiri, President. Com. P. Abhimanyu, General Secretary, welcomed the leaders, delegates and observers. Com. Tapan Sen, MP & General Secretary, CITU inaugurated the open session.
