CPI (M) to launch agitation in Manipur

Communist Party of India (Marxist) will launch a five-day agitation in various areas of the state demanding to implement a proper public distribution system in the state. This was said by Comrade Khogen Das, Member of Parliament, Tripura left front, speaking at a press conference at Paona Bazar.

He told the media persons that the party members of CPI (M) will observed a five day long agitation commencing from July 28 to August 3 in various part of the state. Sit-in-protest will be he staged at different areas of the state demanding to implement a proper public distribution system.

He further said that in the present scenario of the state, the law and order is in a deplorable condition and the economic status of the state is also very poor. He also mentioned that a number of qualified youths have not been provided jobs in the state, which is further adding to the law and order problems of the state.

The protest sites are scheduled at Patsoi on July 28, Sagolmang onJuly 30, Mayang Imphal on August 1, WabagaiAugust 2 and a state level sit-in-protest will be staged on the final day in Imphal.
