The fourth edition of Theekathir, mouthpiece of the CPIM in Tamil Nadu was launched in Thiruchi. The First copy of paper was released by Com. Sitharam Yechury by giving over the copy to PB member Com. K Varadarajan. Comrades MNS Venkitaraman, S Sreedhar, U Vasuki, R Umanath, N Varadarjan, R Nallakannu were present at the occassion. CPIM State Secretary Com G Ramakrishnan Presided over the function. Theekathir Thiruchi Edition manager Com Ananadarajan gave the vote of thanks. Earlier Theekathir Thiruchi edition building was opened by Com. K Varadarajan.
Theekathir Daily now has editions in Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore. Thiruchi edition was launched on a day that is special for all the toiling masses of Tamil Nadu. September 5th happened to be the memorial day of the legendary communist leader Com. A Balasubramaniam, also it is Ponmalai (Golden Rock) martyrs day.
