SFI TamilNadu State Conference begins in Nagercoil


22nd SFI Tamil Nadu State conference began in the southern most district, where the 3 seas converge, Nagercoil on 13th August with huge student rally. The student rally was flagged off by SFI all India President Comrade P K Biju. Thousands of students from various parts of Tamil Nadu participated in the rally. The rally was lead by Com. G Selva (All india Joint Secretary, Com Kanakaraj, Com Rejiskumar, Com Jasmin Vinoja. The rally was acommpanied by various arts forms. 22 students carrying White flag indicating the 22nd conference marched in the front row. Thuderous slogans were made by the participants against the commercialisation of education sector. They pledged to fight against the commercialisation of education done both by the central and state governments. Activists of DYFI, AIDWA, CITU gave fraternal greetings to the rallyists.  

Later the meeting was inaugurated by CPIM central Commitee member and Kerala State Education minister Com. M A Baby. CITU TN state Secretary Com. A Soundarrajan, Com P K Biju MP, Com G Selva spoke on the occassion. Organising Committee Chairman Com. AV Bellarmin, Com Leema Rose MLA, Com John Joseph MLA were present at the meeting venue. SFI district presdent Com Sathya gave the vote of thanks. The Conference will continue on 14th and 15th of August. The delegate session of the conference will be inaugurated on 14th August by leading educationalist K Ramachandran.
