SEP 7th strike is a TU response to the anti people policies of the central government. Shedding economism, TUs should come forward to fight for the common people. Rightly they have included the issue of PRICE RISE in their agenda for the strike. This give confidence that TUs will play their historical role in Indian politics. SWAMINATHAN

ReplyDeleteLike this strike is going to change anything
We have had lots of strikes so far. Has anything ever changed ??
Strikes are just a waste of a working day and i am totally against it
Totally lame. No wonder our state keeps going down.
Look at Chennai or Blore, Even on a strike day
there work goes normal
Only our place.......
Sri Tom alex need not be pessimistic. Without discussing merits of the issue we should not come to a conclusions on the basis of the response to the strike. Strikes are democratic forms of expressing the popular discontents. Even during the freedom struggles most of the public had not participated directly. But these kinds of actions will be helpful to create public opinion and it will increase direct participation in future. It is the dynamics of any struggle.
