Communist Party of India Marxist is contesting 2 seats in Andhra pradhesh in alliance with TDP, TRS and CPI. Party will be contesting Bhongir (Nalgonda District) and Aruku (Visakhapatinam District). In both these constituencies party is having a good following since the day's of the Legendary Telengana Armed struggle. Last time party contested only one seat that of Bhadrachalam and won it. Party's credential and Mass support has increased a lot in the last 4 years. A vast section of the people especially the minority community have joined the party in these years. This was due to the numerous struggles carried out by the party. And the biggest among such struggle was the Bhooporattam, which was aimed at reclaiming the government land held by big landlords to landless and home less poor. That struggle was a big victory. During that struggle was the firing at Mudigonda happened and 5 of our comrades were short dead. The struggles led by our party against caste and religious discrimination was also a great success. This time party is seeking votes to throwaway the corrupt ridden Y S Rajasekhara reddy led congress Government. A lot many corruption cases has come into the front including the Satyam Scandal against this government.

Party has fielded Com. Babu Rao (http://164.100.47.134/newls/Biography.aspx?mpsno=4177) from Araku and Com. Nomula narasimhaiah from Bhongir. Babu Rao is the sitting MP from Badrachalam and Com Nomula Narasimhaiah is the floor leader of CPIM in Andhra Assembly.
