CPI (M) ANNOUNCES CANDIDATES FROM TAMILNADU

A day after CPI(M) reached an agreement with the AIDMK on seat sharing, announced its candidates for the constituencies alloted. The constituencies alloted to the CPI(M) are Kannyakumari, Madurai and Coimbatore. Kannyakumari (fromerly Nagercoil) and Madurai are the sitting seats of CPI(M). In those seats sitting MP's A V Bellarmin and P Mohan are the candidates respectively. In the industrial town of Coimbatore party had fielded trade union leader P R Natarajan. He is the state committe member of the party and also the district secretary. CPI(M) in Tamil Nadu is in alliance with AIDMK, in which PMK, MDMK and CPI are the other constituents. CPI has been allotted North Chennai, Nagapattinam and Thenkasi seats. National leaders of the left parties will be reaching in Tamil Nadu in the coming days for the campaign
