Students’ Federation of India – Tamilnadu State Committee successfully
held a seminar in the topic of ” The Challenges faced by the Tamilnadu
School Education” at Chennai on June 7, 2014.
In this seminar various resolutions were passed:
*To implement Right to Education Act for
the people who were belonging to socially & economically weaker
section and the state government to take stringent action to ensure 25%
reservation in pvt schools. Most of the pvt schools refused to give
reservation and act against the Constitution. The state government
should cancel the affiliation to the schools which refuses to implement
the RTE Act.
*To cancel the affiliation of pvt schools which collects exorbitant
fees which need not collect the fees fixed by the fee committee.
*To enact separate law for Compulsory education in the Mother Tongue.
The special seminar gives a call for a protest on June 11, 2014 in
front of the district head quarters of Chief Education Officer demanding
the above said demands.
