CPIM State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan released the logo of 20th Party Congress, to be held in April next year in Kozhikode. The logo designed by R Jayakumar of Jayan Arts in Alappuza has been selected from 152 entries by a three-member judging committee headed by renowned artist Paul Kallanode. The judging committee opined that the logo is simple as well as symbolic. The logo reflects the port city of Kozhikode and the progressive voyage over Arabian Sea. Flag of the CPI (M) is embossed on the sail of the boat, which depicts the ancient port city. Prof. A K Premajam, Mayor of Kozhikode, presided over the releasing function held at the NGO Union Hall in the city. T P Ramakrishnan, secretary the CPIM district committee, welcomed the gathering. R Jayakumar, who designed logo, will be felicitated at the concluding session of the Party Congress. |
