The CPI (M) will soon launch a cultural campaign as a prelude to the party's three-day State conference scheduled to be held at Khammam from February 2 to 4.
Giving details at a press conference on Tuesday, CPI (M) central committee member Tammineni Veerabhadram said a multi-focal campaign would be organised to give wide publicity to the forthcoming State conference to be held in Khammam.
The campaign would feature street plays, seminars, competitions in essay writing, elocution, and other events for the students.
The campaign has been designed in a unique way to highlight the need for promoting theatre arts and educating the masses on various problems confronted by today's society, he said adding that a science fair would be organised at Pavilion Grounds coinciding with the State conference to foster scientific temper and rationale thinking.
CPI (M) general secretary Prakash Karat, Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury, and senior leaders of the party will participate in the State conference.
Mr Veerabhadram released the logo and brochure of the State conference on the occasion.
CPI (M) district secretary Pothineni Sudarshan Rao, district secretariat members M. Venkateshwarlu and Nunna Nageswara Rao were present.
